Medical Equipment Repair in Nairobi and Across Kenya

Ultrascope Medical Supplies arranges repair of medical, laboratory and theatre equipment for hospitals, clinics, laboratories and home users across Kenya. Send the make, model and the fault on WhatsApp and we come back with the likely cause, what the repair involves and the cost before any work starts.

How the work is arranged

Some work we handle directly, and some is carried out by the manufacturer authorised service agents or specialist engineers we work with. We tell you which applies to your equipment, and what it will cost, before anything is booked. If the equipment was not bought from us, send the make and model and we will confirm whether we can take it on.

What we cover

Equipment that has stopped working, is failing intermittently, or is producing readings you no longer trust: autoclaves and sterilisers that will not reach pressure or temperature, analysers, centrifuges and microscopes, patient monitors with failing leads or sensors, oxygen concentrators, nebulisers and suction machines, incubators and resuscitaires, dental chairs and units, and mechanical faults on wheelchairs and mobility equipment.

How a repair works

  1. Send the make, model, serial number if visible, the fault, and a photograph or short video of what it is doing.
  2. We come back with the likely cause, whether parts are needed, who will carry out the work, and what it will cost.
  3. The fault is diagnosed and repaired, parts sourced where required. If the fault turns out to be different or larger than expected, you hear about it before more of your money is spent.
  4. The equipment is tested and handed back working, with a note on what was replaced.

When repair is the wrong answer

Sometimes it is not worth it. If the parts cost approaches the price of a replacement, or the device is obsolete and parts are no longer produced, we will say so and quote a replacement from stock instead of billing you for a repair that will not last.

Parts and spares

We source spares and consumables such as sensors, leads, cuffs, probes, seals and filters. If you only need a part rather than a visit, send the make and model and we will quote the part on its own.

Coverage and response

Nairobi and all 47 counties. Typical reply within 24 hours. If theatre or laboratory equipment is down, say so in the first message so it is treated accordingly. LPO and facility invoicing available.

Report a fault

Message us on WhatsApp or call +254 720 018916. If the same equipment keeps failing, scheduled maintenance is usually cheaper than repeat repairs.

Frequently asked questions

What information do you need to quote a repair?

Make, model, serial number if you can see it, a plain description of the fault, and a photo or short video. That is usually enough to tell you whether it is a parts issue, a service issue, or a replacement.

Can you tell us the cost before attending?

You get the diagnosis cost and an expected repair range up front. The final figure is confirmed once the fault is known, and the agreed figure is not exceeded without asking you first.

Do you supply a replacement while ours is being repaired?

Not as a standing loan service. Where downtime is critical we will quote a replacement unit from stock so you can decide between waiting and buying.

Is repair work guaranteed?

Ask us to state the guarantee on the specific repair in the quotation, so what is covered and for how long is agreed in writing before work starts.
